Big week in College Football for Undefeated Teams!

Everett Golson 2012

Everett Golson & Notre Dame 2012

After week 12 how many teams will remain undefeated?  Currently four teams still remain undefeated: #6 Ohio State, #3 Notre Dame, #2 Kansas St., & #1 Oregon.  We have some big games to watch and in my opinion we will see a couple of upsets this week.  I also think one of these undefeated teams will end up the only undefeated team by the end.  You can also gain an advantage in your Fantasy Games with a few of these teams players.

#6 Ohio State @ Wisconsin: The 10-0 Ohio State Buckeyes have a tough game ahead of them with the 7-3 Wisconsin Badgers.  This game’s only real purpose is for the Buckeyes to try to continue on the quest to stay undefeated, and for the Badgers to try to give the Buckeyes their first loss.  Ohio State is not bowl eligible so they can only hope to end the season without a loss.   As for the Badgers they have already secured their spot in the Big Ten championship game, but don’t look for Badgers to lay down in this game.  Braxton Miller QB for the Buckeye’s is going to have his work cut out for him going against the 13th ranked defense only allowing an average of 103.4 yards.  Look for Wisconsin to stick with a run game this week and Monte Ball their star running back to have a big game.  Braxton Miller and Monte Ball would both be great for your College Football Fantasy games this week.  If the Buckeye’s can get past the Badgers and remain undefeated they will host #23 Michigan for their next game and should have no problem going 12-0.  I am however giving this game to Wisconsin giving the Buckeye’s their first loss of the season.

Wake Forest @ #3 Notre Dame: Notre Dame should have no problem staying undefeated in this game against 5-5 Wake Forest.  Notre Dame’s (QB) Everett Golson, (RB) Theo Riddick, and (TE) Tyler Eifert would be great starts for your Fantasy games this week.  Wake Forest’s Defense is weak on their line and weak in their secondary.  Notre Dame’s problem for staying undefeated is going to come in their next game when they meet Matt Barkley and USC at USC.  This is where in my opinion they will get their first loss of the season.

#2 Kansas St. @ Baylor: This is one team I feel may actually stay undefeated this season.  Collin Klein is a great well-rounded QB and only has 3 interceptions for the year.  Another factor and a problem Baylor has is stopping RB John Hubert who may not put up big yard games but he does have 12 touchdowns so far.  It’s a given you have to start the Heisman Candidate Collin Klein, but if your in need of a RB this week I would start John Hubert because Baylor just doesn’t have the defense to stop him.  Kansas States next opponent is Texas and they have had defensive problems this year as well.  Look for Kansas State to stay the one and only undefeated team this year.

#14 Stanford @ #1 Oregon: Upset game of the week right here.  #14 Stanford goes into #1 Oregon and hands them their first loss of the season.  Stanford is 8-2 and ranked first in rushing defense only allowing an average of 58.8 yards per game.  If Stanford can control Oregon’s QB Marcus Mariota, shut down RB Kenjon Barner and RB De’Anthony Thomas which are Mariota’s go to men Stanford will win this game.  If Oregon does when this game they will play at Oregon State whose defense I can’t see stopping Mariota.  Look for Stanford’s RB Stefan Taylor to have a big game this week and he would be a great go to RB to start in your College Football fantasy games.

Set your lineup for your Fantasy Football and if you need a couple of options for players pick up a couple of the players from this article.  We will just have to watch and see how these undefeated teams perform this week and see who truly is the team to beat.  Have a safe and great fantasy weekend.
