Top 5 College QB’s Week 10 to Watch

Matt Barkley 2012

Matt Barkley 2012 Week 10

Week 10 has started and you should have your College Fantasy Lineups set by now.  This week I have five quarterbacks that I feel are going to have big games with high yards.  Also in one game in particular I feel one of my top 5 QB’s is going to upset a top 5-ranked team.  I highly doubt any of these players are still out there, but if they are these are a “Must Have” pick up and start for week 10.

Braxton Miller Ohio State University:  The 9-0 Ohio State Buckeye’s are playing the 2-6 University of Illinois Fighting Illini and I am strictly choosing Miller for fantasy purposes based on his performance.  Miller maybe limited due to the neck injury he obtained a couple of weeks ago however he is playing Illinois.  Miller and the Buckeye’s shouldn’t have any problems making the Illini look like a High School football team.  Miller is a quick thinker and has quick feet not to mention his cannon of an arm.  Look for Miller to have a 300-400 yard game.

Seth Doege Texas Tech University:  Here you go the big game in Texas this week.  #20 Texas Tech Red Raiders (6-2) hosting the Texas Longhorns (6-2).  Texas Tech is a passing team and Doege already has over 2500 yards passing.  He also has 30 passing TD’s which is the most in College Football this season thus far.  Don’t let Texas’s defense last week fool you they are tough, but I am expecting Doege to have a great game.

Teddy Bridgewater University of Louisville:  The #12 Louisville Cardinals  (8-0) are taking on the Temple Owls (3-4).  Just like last weeks game against Cincinnati expect a pass heavy game for Bridgewater.  When Louisville is forced to pass the ball Bridgewater is dangerous and very aware of his surroundings.  He threw for a little over 400 yards last week and I would predict that he would be in the 350+ yards range again this week.

A.J. McCarron University of Alabama:  This is probably going to be the most talked about game this week.  #1 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0) versus #5 LSU Tigers (7-1).  I said in a previous article that McCarron was a week-by-week starter in fantasy football leagues and this game here is a must start with LSU’s rushing defense.  Bama hasn’t played the teams LSU has this season however Alabama is #1 for a reason they have a diverse way of tearing teams apart.  Look for McCarron to have a 400+ game this week.

Matt Barkley University of Southern California:  You asked I answered this is my upset game of the week.  #18 USC Trojan’s (6-2) hosting #2 Oregon Ducks (8-0).  Barkley is a threat to any defense when he is on and even with the loss to Arizona last week he showed that he is a top College QB.  Barkley will have another 350+ game this week.  I am predicting that USC’s defense shuts down Oregon’s QB Marcus Mariota forcing him to throw the ball, which Oregon isn’t forced to do that often.

There you have it those are my top 5 QB’s for week 10 and my upset of the week (USC over Oregon).  If you have one of these player’s or if they are available make sure you have them starting on your Fantasy Football lineup.  Check your local TV listings for game time’s and channel airings.
