Friday, August 31st, 2012

Darren McFadden lasted until the second round of my fantasy football draftI recently had my fantasy football draft for my friends league, the league I care the most about. This is our 9th year doing it and it gets even more competitive every year. It’s mostly standard scoring although it’s a PPR League. My picks are in bold. Overall, I think I drafted a great team but I’ll let you be the judge of that.

Before I get to the results, I should let you know you start 1QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB, WR, TE), 1 K, 1 DST (more…)

2012 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12 Teams, Standard Scoring

Tuesday, August 7th, 2012

Tom Brady went 7th overall in my first fantasy football draft of the 2012 seasonI recently had my first fantasy football draft of the 2012 season. While doing mock drafts online are great they can’t fully prepare you for the surprises of a real “live” draft. For one, without any computer rankings in front of them you will see a lot more reaches and surprising picks. Also depending on where you live, you can usually expert at least one “homer” pick. 2012 Fantasy Football: NFC West Preview

Friday, June 8th, 2012

San Francisco 49ers     11 – 5

Seattle Seahawks          8 – 8

Arizona Cardinals          8 – 8

St Louis Rams              6 – 10

He was a 5th-round draft pick and went undrafted in most leagues but was able to contribute with 700 yards of offense and 6 total touchdowns. Below is a list of 7 players who may not be ranked among the top at their respective positions, but have lots of upside and the chance to outperform their draft position.

Brian Quick, WR, St. Louis Rams
Ever since Torry Holt left the Rams after the 2008 season, the Rams have been searching for a number one wide receiver. They have taken 6 receivers in the past 4 drafts and have acquired players like Drew Bennett, Mark Clayton, and Mike-Sims Walker, all which proved to be busts. (more…)
